Board of Directors
Carol Gray
Carol returns to the board having served as Exhibits Chair and Vice-chair. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1972 and worked as a corporate librarian for Imperial Oil Ltd. in Toronto for 13 years. Carol has been resident in NOTL since 1988 and operated a small B&B until 2001. She was a member of the NOTL Library Board for six years and, as well, assisted Nancy Butler at the Shaw Festival Library for a few years. Currently Carol has a house/pet-sitting business. She enjoys travel, music, reading, theatre, gardening and cats.
Peg Reel
Peg returns to the board as Secretary. She holds a B.A. (Sociology and Anthropology) and worked for many years in government and private business. She was one of the founders of a Halton-based art group, where she taught pottery. Peg is interested in the visual arts, especially oil painting.
David Willett
David returns as Property and Rentals Chair. He graduated with a B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) from Imperial College, London. He worked for 40 years as a consulting engineer in hydroelectric and underground projects in Canada and abroad. Having retired as a VP from Acres International Corp., he pursues above ground interests including running, playing the clarinet, restoring a 1960 Triumph TR3, and fine-tuning his photographic skills.
Jamie King
Jamie serves as the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake's representative on the Niagara Pumphouse Visual Arts Centre Board. Elected to Council in 2010, Jamie also serves as Chair of several town committees, on the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro Board, and as a volunteer for several organizations including the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation. Jamie lives in Virgil with his wife and two sons, and serves as the Executive Director for the Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (SIDS Canada).
Sandra Stokes
Sandra emigrated from the UK to Canada in June 2011. She has a Master’s degree in Human Resources and has many years of experience as a Senior HR Professional for over 20 years, working for a number of large international organizations.
For many years she has been involved in volunteering and fund raising activities for charitable organizations. Sandra lives in St David’s with her husband Kevin and daughter Hannah.
Kenn Moody
Kenn is a graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College (BSA) and the University of Western Ontario (MBA). He spent 28 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force and Canadian Armed Forces. He had an assortment of tours, including two as a pilot of C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, one as the Commanding Officer of 435 Transport Squadron and one as the Canadian Forces Air Attaché to Moscow in the then Soviet Union. Upon retirement from the military, Kenn worked as an Aviation Inspector for Transport Canada and in the management of NAV CANADA. More recently, he managed the local Niagara District Airport from 2007-2011. A willing volunteer, Kenn is involved locally and regionally with Air Cadets, is currently the Immediate Past President of the Royal Niagara Military Institute and is on the Executive of the St. Davids Ratepayers Association. He and Peggy live in St. Davids.
Cheryl Morris
Cheryl is an internationally experienced manager of internal and external communications and corporate events/ technical conferences. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from Concordia University in Montreal. She has extensive experience in integrated marketing communications, graphics and web design. Cheryl lives in Niagara on the Lake and works from her home office for a multi-national software company.
