The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is pleased to present its Pumphouse Instructors’ Exhibition, December 9, 2016 – March 26, 2017, featuring the artwork of some of our talented instructors.
The instructors at the Pumphouse are professional artists who are actively creating artwork in their own studios and exhibiting across the Niagara Region and beyond. Some have been included in publications and received awards. In addition to their background in visual arts, they also bring with them various experience, certification and degrees (B.A., M.A., PhD) in other areas including: graphic design, calligraphy, literature, religious education, philosophy, art therapy, performance production, owning and operating studios, teaching certification and post-secondary school professors. This group exhibition offers a glimpse into the diversity and creativity of our instructors. This year’s participants include: Mike Gagnon, Philip Gebhardt, Win Henstock, Sandra Iafrate, Valerie Martin, Beata O'Connell, Ruth Pallek, Tamara Plugers, Julie Ponesse, Anne Reimer, Beverly Sneath, Susan Sparrow Mace, Diane Vogel, Susan Wintrop.
Alongside the Pumphouse Instructor’s Exhibition we will be exhibiting the work by our Members & Students, February 10 – March 26, 2017. The artworks in this gallery range in media, subject matter and scale but reflect the variety of classes offered at the Pumphouse and the originality of the Pumphouse members and students.
A reception to honour the instructors, members, students and volunteers will be held on Sunday March 5, 2:00 p.m. at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. Many of the artists will be present. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
