Programs - WS19-4 - Colour Theory and Mixing

Why are certain colour combinations so striking? How do I make the colours in my paintings ‘pop’? How do I avoid colours that look flat, washed out, or even unrealistic? This 2-day workshop will use a combination of presentation, demonstration and hands-on exercises to explore: saturation, hues, complements, contrast (Did you know there are 7 different kinds?!), colour relativity, and the power of the warm/cool partnership.
