Make your own Holiday Season Cards while learning the basics of linocut printmaking technique. This program is intended as a first step to introduce participants to the wide world of printmaking. Adults wishing to learn the basics of printmaking starting with one of the most accessible techniques, while making their own holiday cards. Participants will learn how to transfer an image to a plate, handle linocut tools, ink the plate with a brayer, and correct hand printing technique to lay the basis to continue experimenting and printing at home.
No previous printmaking experience is required, but some artistic experience is beneficial.

Anick Fernandez

Anick Fernandez lives and works in Niagara-on-the-Lake. In 2005 in Madrid Spain, she starts investigating the extensive possibilities of Collagraphy, a non-toxic eco-friendly technique that allows the greatest creative freedom in printmaking. She starts teaching Collagraphy in 2013 at Hedera Printmaking. Her work has been exhibited in different countries in Europe and North America and has been awarded several prizes. It is part of several public and private collections in Mexico, Canada and Spain.
