Programs - WP-21-1 - The True and Exciting Colours in Snow - Intermediate

Hiding in the shadows, blown out in the light are a plethora of stunning colours that make winter paintings a pleasure and a joy for me to experience. I’ll show you how to find them and explore their character.

Session 1 - Building the block in and building the under-painting colours, shapes and design

Session 2 – Building the final colours, shapes and values on top of the completed block-in, along with corresponding details to complete the canvas

Participants can expect demonstrations of every stage in the painting and a description of the thought process behind the interpretation of the photo reference and the challenges presented by the limitations of photography.

Critiquing and discussion at all stages is welcome.

Students must have a Zoom account (this is FREE, but must be acquired ahead of the class). Login instructions and link and password will be provided when course is confirmed.
