Learn to use a gelli plate, acrylic paint, brayers, and a variety of papers to create your own unique handmade paper.
Friday Jun 24, 2022 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
In this workshop, students will learn how to use a gelli plate (used like a printing press), then how to use the plate to augment acrylic paint with various items to create patterns. Instructor Patricia Haftar will teach students how to pull a print and properly clean the gelli plate, how to create multiple layers using paint, found objects and stencils, and how to make their own stencils using heavy paper and laminating paper.
This is a fun and inexpensive technique to learn that uses found objects from all around the house or outside.
