NHFS: The Creative Sketchbook

Turn your sketchbook into a space for experimentation, discovery, and creative play! Over four weeks, students will explore a variety of artistic mediums through fun, guided prompts designed to encourage new ideas, build confidence, and make the sketchbook their own.

Overview

The Creative Sketchbook is a four-week exploration of artistic techniques, materials, and ideas designed to take the pressure out of the blank page. Each week, students will be introduced to a different medium and a series of creative prompts that encourage them to experiment, take risks, and discover new ways of making. From drawing and painting to mixed media and other playful techniques, students will have the opportunity to explore how different materials can change the way they see and respond to an idea. Rather than focusing on creating a perfect finished artwork, this program encourages curiosity, experimentation, and personal expression—helping students build a sketchbook filled with discoveries, ideas, and inspiration to carry forward into their creative practice.
