Overview

Snow isn't white anymore than grass is green. There are many colours involved in giving character to snow that you can see with your eyes with a bit of training but a camera hasn't a clue how to capture.
Going from snow in shadows to its character as it emerges into the light, as its edges go from soft to firm to hard, colour and colour character changes. This promises us as painters with a fabulous range of possibilities when expressing the true colours of snow. We will explore those possibilities along with the process of managing clean beautiful colour in a strong composition.
