Building on experience with observation, proportion, composition, and shading, students refine their use of value, texture, and perspective while exploring more complex object arrangements and lighting conditions. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, depth, and intentional mark-making, as well as developing a cohesive drawing process from start to finish.
Through guided demonstrations and extended studio practice, participants learn strategies for rendering challenging surfaces, overlapping forms, and spatial relationships with increased confidence. By the end of the program, students will produce more nuanced, resolved still life drawings
