Teen Pottery

Learn the basics of pottery from handbuilding techniques to throwing on a motorized wheel. Participants will create one handbuilt and one wheel-thrown piece per class.

Overview

Students will have the opportunity to decorate their work with underglaze on weeks three and four. The instructor will give participants a guided tour of the kiln shed and an explanation of the firing process to create ceramics. All pottery will be glazed and fired by staff. Participants will be notified approximately two weeks following the last class that their work is ready for pickup.

Materials: all materials are included in registration.
