As an artist of the contemporary landscape, what truly captivates me is the blurred line between realism and abstraction. Paintings are in acrylic, using both brush and palette knife.

Jennifer Emily grew up in the small town of Rockway Ontario. Graduating from the Mohawk College with a major in Graphic Design and Camera Operator and a winner of the many prestigious Ontario Juried Art Shows. She worked with an advertising company as an Art Director utilizing her graphic design skills which she was trained in.
Moving to Elora, Jennifer enjoyed working in the field of theatre – City of Guelph for a short time while painting by day and theatre at night.
Years later, she moved back to Niagara, she got back to her roots in nature, she discovered that fine art was her true calling. Primarily self-taught, Jennifer now paints full time in her studio and has never looked back. Jennifer has travelled throughout Ontario, and USA to paint, but it is the Canadian landscape where her true passion lies. Painting exclusively in acrylic, Jennifer uses both brush and palette knife, utilizing their unique marks to create the texture, and movement found in her colorful paintings. Jennifer considers her artistic evolution as an ever-changing and unending journey.

My Metamorphosis Collection was made with love for our Niagara grape region. ( Winning one of the hydro boxes / Pumphouse and N.O.T.L. hydro- beautification project) As a child, I have fond memories of playing with my siblings in Welch's Juice vineyards that surrounded our home. As play areas were limited, we used the foliage as our playground for hiding in or between the vines. It is these childhood memories that influenced all of my graph paintings.
