Strong and Free

Several years ago, I began to paint imaginative landscapes, and still enjoy getting lost in the experience. I delight in watching as each piece comes alive with colour, movement, and expression.

These two paintings show the transition of winter to spring in Canada: at times jumpy, with renewed cold and gusts of snow surprising us all, and at other times, so gradual that even a warm sun can seem to take forever to rekindle new growth in a grey and barren landscape. My work has been exhibited in several shows and juried exhibits in Milton, Hamilton, Toronto, and throughout the Niagara Peninsula.

Several years ago, I began to paint landscapes, and still enjoy getting lost in the experience. Imagination as my guide, I delight in watching as each piece comes alive with colour, movement, and expression. These winter scenes hearken my own experiences - walking in early morning, spying a fox caught in a snow gust - in the coldest of winter darkness during the early pandemic years. My work has been in several shows and juried exhibits in Milton, Hamilton, Toronto, and throughout the Niagara Peninsula.
