Shadows are fascinating to me, not only as the projections of objects blocking light, but as a quiet place I need to go to from time to time to rest, to heal, to reconnect with myself. Just as life in nature begins underground, in the dark, protected and out of sight, every creative process needs a quite space out of the shining light to grow.

I feel a special connection with nature, it is a never ending source of amazement and inspiration to me. My work explores the textures, the plays of lights and shadows and the power of regeneration of nature. I am committed to protecting the environment and I often use recycled materials and non toxic techniques in my printmaking practice.

Creating is a deep need to me. When I'm away for more than two days I carry my survival kit with me, usually ink, watercolor sticks, brushes and paper.
