King Street Caleche by Lynn Wiener

The artwork was the selected cover for the Stay NOTL and Tourism NOTL 2026-2027 map. The piece was chosen from entries to an annual map cover design competition open to Niagara artists, hosted by the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre.

"This painting was conceived as I sat one morning on the Prince of Wales Hotel patio, enjoying the scenery. Across from Balzac's coffee shop on King Street, the horse drawn carriages arrive every morning to take tourists to a guided tour of our beautiful town. As soon as the horses show up, people come over to admire them and the children are especially excited to see them. This scene made me smile as I could see the joy these horses and carriages bring to the people visiting our town."
