Overview
The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre and Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro are thrilled to invite regional artists to participate in the 2024 NOTL Hydro Box Beautification Competition. All submissions will be part of an exhibition in Niagara Pumphouse Art Centre's Walker Room Gallery on August 8 to October 19, 2024.
2 of the winning designs will be chosen by a jury. The community chooses 1 winning entry as the People's Choice winner by participating in a public vote, with each visitor able to cast a single vote. All winning submissions will be awarded a $500 honorarium.
The hydro boxes chosen for this year's competition are situated in the heart of local communities throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake including Virgil, St. Davids and Queenston. Design themes may encompass nature, landmarks, or the rich history of Niagara-on-the-Lake. However, preference will be given to submissions aligning with this year's focus on community.
