The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre invites Ontario-based artists and artist-led teams to submit proposals for a permanent outdoor sculpture to be installed on our outdoor grounds.
Project Highlights
• Project Goal: That the proposed Public Art work(s) reflect the agricultural roots of NOTL, in particular the grape and wine industry's impact on Niagara Region in honour of Paul and Andrée Bosc, 2006 NOTL Citizens of the Year.
• Location: The selected artwork is to be installed on a concrete slab on-grade on exterior grounds of the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. See site map for location.
• Budget: $25,000 – $100,000 (includes design, fabrication, delivery & installation)
• Size Limit: Max 6 ft (H) x 4 ft (W) x 12 ft (L)
• Material: Suitable for outdoor conditions & public interaction

Eligibility
• Open to all Ontario-based artists and collectives at any stage in their career. Artists under 18 must have a parent/guardian co-sign submissions.
• Town of NOTL employees and Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre employees are ineligible.
Submission Process
This is a two-stage selection process:
Stage 1: Concept & Preliminary Design
• Submit your concept statement, visual sketch or mockup, proposed materials and cost estimate, CV, samples of past work, and references.
• No submission fees – generously covered by the donor.
Stage 2: Detailed Proposal (By invitation only)
Up to three artists or teams will be shortlisted and awarded a $500 honorarium to develop a detailed proposal.
