Bringing Art to the Community

Watercolour Community Garden

The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre invited the public to cultivate their creativity by contributing to the 'Watercolour Community Garden'. The culmination is a captivating montage: a collaborative masterpiece formed through the artistic synergy of numerous individuals. The piece now adourns the Niagara-on-the-Lake Town Hall lobby.

Newark Neighbours Mural

The artwork was thoughtfully created by numerous students who participated in our 2023 Summer Art Camp. Now adourning the walls of Newark Neighbours Food Bank & Thrift Shop in Virgil, Ontario, the piece represents artistic expression and compassionate connection. It serves as a reminder of the power that art holds to uplift and unite.

Make a Mark: Sailing 1

During the 13 for 13 Culture Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake, held in conjunction with the 2022 Canada Games, attendees had the opportunity to "Make a Mark" on a community art piece. One of the three large canvases, created to commemorate the sailing competition, now proudly hangs on display at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club.

1000 Cranes Installation

Hundreds of volunteers joined the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre team when they set out to create 1,000 origami cranes in honour of essential workers during COVID. The public art installation at the NOTL Community Centre opened on March 24, 2022 which marked the 2-year anniversary of COVID lockdowns in both Ontario and Canada.
