My approach in creating a painting is very intuitive. Layering paint, introducing collage materials and applying textures are all elements that reveal the artistic interpretation and individuality. I also consider the development of a painting as being "from soul to hand". The art I create is an intuitive expression of a subject and/or a reaction of the moment. Expressing those moments on paper or canvas in shapes and colours creates a visual impact that I hope the viewer enjoys. As an artist, my goal is to create a feeling in a painting that echoes a mood or emotion and I rely on the viewer to complete the visual understanding.
