January Morning

"January Morning" depicts a century old farmhouse and barn in a snow-covered landscape. The tire tracks in the snow reveal that although the farmhouse has seen much better days, it is still home for someone. Painting with acrylics, I layer many thin washes of colours to slowly build shapes and enhance the perception of three-dimensionality.

I am originally from Quebec and like many artists, art has been a part of my life since childhood. My art is realistic and detailed. I work with acrylics, as well as pen and pencil.
