Deedee Alexandre

She is a retired secondary school history department head who has lived in Welland since 1993.

Now, she spends much of her time pursuing artistic avenues, specifically acrylic painting and travel photography. In 2016-2017, Deedee was the President of the St. Catharines Art Association and in 2018, she co-founded the Visual Artists of Welland organization and is currently the co-President.

Deedee also gives workshops on creating a Vision Board. She particularly likes to see the tremendous growth in the participants in the course of an afternoon; past participants have commented that she is organized and enthusiastic. Deedee enjoys the long-lasting relationship with the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre.
