What Lies Below: JudyBlue Anderson

The exhibit features the artist's new body of abstract works that explores impressions of what rests unseen 'under the sea'. The paintings portray the human-made tension in the rhythms of nature on man-made debris left by shipwrecks.

Join us on Sunday, June 4th from 2:00-4:00 pm for an opening reception and an opportunity to meet the artist in person. Admire the mixed media works over nibbles and refreshments with other art appreciators. Remarks at approximately 2:30 p.m.

This new body of abstract works explores under the sea. Using line, form, shape and a limited pallete, I build up the layers of colour and pattern to create depth and texture.

Shipwrecks are my inspiration. I aim to portray the influence of nature on the rhythms of human-made tension in places very few will ever go. We are engaging with nature through sport in the debris we leave behind.
