All are welcome to the opening reception on Sunday, Nov. 6th at 2:00 pm. The artist will be in attendance with remarks at approximately 2:30 PM. Refreshments will be served.
The must-see exhibit offers a glimpse into some of the photographer's favourite spots. The collection features some of the images of unique global locations from his travels to more than 46 countries. The pieces in the exhibit were selected by the artist to show why a "journey to these places is worth taking."
Rick Vyrostko is predominately a still-life photographer with the goal of telling stories of places he visited. His work can be described as having a natural quality, rich in detail, and abundant in vibrant colours. He combines the use of professional-level equipment with traditional photographic techniques to capture and refine a photograph resulting in his fine art images. The result is what the artist describes as a "visually captivating, bold and dynamic image that straddles the line between the realistic and artistic enhanced impression of a given scene."
Photography has been his life-long passion and he deals with a versatile range of subjects including travel, events, products, architecture, and nature. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, with accreditation in both Nature and Architecture photography.
Join Rick Vyrostko as he takes you on a journey to Antarctica and reveals the stories behind his captivating images. Book your spot for his upcoming lecture, 'Travel Photography: Antarctica and the Stories Behind the Photos' on Sunday, Nov 27, 2022 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
