Overview

Feeling a little lost? Transitioning away from the working world and into the "second act" of life can be intimidating! This 12-week course is for those who are brand new to retirement (within the past 6 years), live within the Niagara region, and are curious about exploring their creative selves. We will be using the book: It's Never Too Late to Begin Again by Julia Cameron and taking an exciting 12-week guided journey to look for our own unique wells of inspiration.

Each week participants will be expected to read one chapter and complete all assigned tasks which take, on average, approximately 1-2 hours each day. Writing is an important tool, so be prepared to put pen to paper. Our "creative cluster" will be facilitated by Sandra Nass Misiak and meet weekly for 12 weeks from September 4th to November 20th in order to discuss our progress, keep everyone on track and stay motivated! The first meeting will be held in person to meet and receive our books and subsequent meetings will be held virtually. Get ready to try new ventures and have some fun!

There is no charge to register for this program, however we welcome and appreciate all donations.
We thank the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program funding for making our THRIVE - Introduction to Creativity for Seniors programs no charge for participants aged 50 and older.

Registration is limited to 8 seats. Please note, the first session of this workshop will take place in person, and the remaining sessions will take place via Zoom. There will be no class on Monday, October 9th.

Please contact programs@niagarapumphouse.ca for any questions.
