Traditional classical portrait process using a live study model.
In this four-week in-studio class, artist and instructor George Doros will teach you the portrait painting basics from preliminary proportions, value study, colour mixing to final rendering. This class will provide the fundamental foundation and approaches to developing an Oil Portrait with a live model. Artists will be given personal attention and critiques of their work.
By the end of this course, you will understand the stages of portraiture, mixing of skin and tonal colour values, and drawing proportions of the face.
Pre-requisites: basic drawing skills, oil painting skill

George Doros is a Niagara resident, graduate of Ontario College of Art, Guelph University, and Brock University. He is a Visual Arts Educator /Consultant, Workshop Presenter, and Oil Portrait Painter, and studied with New York portrait artist Daniel Greene.
