This course will be aimed at both the beginner and seasoned modeller who may have been away from the hobby for a few years and wants to get back to it.
Two instructors will guide the student through a scale model build. It may either be a boxed model kit that has sat collecting dust or a partially built ‘Shelf Queen’.
David is a professional model ship builder who creates his highly detailed models in wood and many other materials from scratch.
Pete has won many awards in this hobby. He begins with a plastic kit 'out of the box' and adds incredible details using styrene, copper wire and many other materials, including after-market updates provided by third party manufacturers.
3D printed items that are available through companies such as Shapeways will not be part of this class.
Demonstrations and one-on-one guidance will be ongoing during the four week class.
This may include airbrush painting basics, mold making, resin copies and any other topics that are relevant to the models being built in class.
