Originally from Great Britain, Win has since lived, studied art and operated art galleries in California and Oakville. In California, she studied painting with some of the area’s most notable artists – Ken Auster, John Cosby, Roger Armstrong, Kevin McPherson and Timothy Clark. Upon a visit to England, she met the good fortune of meeting and taking the guidance of Master Watercolourist John Yardley, whose work would deeply influence her ability to capture light and the moment.
As an artist, Win is noted for her "Plein Aire" style: the art of painting from nature or painting in-situ, outside of the artist studio and within the environment. Because of various weather conditions, Plein Aire artists focus and capture the light, colour and shadow as it appears in nature.
Win’s style loose brushwork and keen eye demonstrate the beauty of nature. Her work may be found in collections throughout Canada, United States and England.
